The description of the Elemental Ball spell has two points to correct:
  • If "the bolt" is of fire should be if "the ball" is of fire
  • Last option is "Infernal cone" but should be "Elemental cone"

Interesting! Did you come up with a reason why those schools are opposing each other? Is there a metaphysical reason? Are there conflicting organization?
There may even be "racial" magic like Dwarves use Sorcery, Gnomes use Wizardry or Ocs use Spirit Magic...

I cannot find the base radius of the various ball spells. The generic description implies that there is a basic radius but it evades  me. There’s a casting option that allows to expand the radius but from what base?

A late thought too, a friend of mine has been playing a young mage and was disappointed not to find an iconic spell such as fire bolt or fireball. Don’t know if it is still possible but I suggest to replace conjure scythe and dart swarm by fire (or elemental) bolt and ball.

The Necromantic legacy drawback seems rather to be an advantage.
  • The way it is written, you don't really die but become an undead and undeads fear you for that.
  • It should at least include a penalty to social interactions or something else to make it a real drawback.

The copyright year should be 2022 and not 2021. ;)

On page 37 (and page 43 last paragraph), you may want to remove references to called shots as this option is not implemented in the proposed version.

New catches or questions:
  • On page 50, spell casting is described as a standard action (which I think is intended) whereas on page 67 under the Quick,Fast and Snap casting paragraph it is described twice as a full action (should be standard I think).
  • On page 57, I find the description of the Shield Parry move confusing. As it is written now it may imply your shield DT is counted twice: once in your normal DT, once in your AB.
    It says: 'the character may use the Fight Defensively or Full Parry Moves with his Shield. His AB for these Moves is equal to his skill bonus for use Bludgeoning weapons plus the DT Bonus of the Shield itself.'
    Does this mean you have to use your shield to attack too?
    Do you require Shield Bash or Shield Ram to do so? Meaning Bash or Ram are prerequistes?

In the playtest v24 version, the Burglar has the 'Light Touch' talent which is described... nowhere. I have searched previous versions down to v15 to no avail. The only mention I have found so far is in Novus 1E.  :D

I know you can put additional lines after but all my characters so far have two crafts skill so having them together feels right.

No more auto-calc, fine by me

Regarding the police of the blank lines, the font size is too big.

I have begun updating my example characters using the final ruleset. Everything goes fine so far rulewise but I encounter some problems with the character sheet itself:

  • Stats (both primary and secondary) do not auto-calculate
  • Most cultures have several ranks to share between two or more crafts so a second Crafts line in the General skills would be handy
  • Blank lines after Subterfuge skills do not display the right police (too big)
