Magic; Casting Spells; Attack Spells; page 64; 1st column;

Placeholders left in;
From:

"In general, attack spells, such as the various <Schoolbased Name> Arc and < School-based Name> Ball spells require 2 separate rolls. "

To:

(replace placeholders with actual names.) Also, if using Find Replace, the misspelling of "Schoolbased" may be skipping that entry.

Quote

actually, those were in there on purpose (since the names are things like Mystic Arc and Mystic Ball), but your comment made me realize I did not need them.

Magic; Attack Spells; page 65; 1st to 2nd column;

Consider adding em dash for readability;

From:

"Each additional 45° of arc, allows it to strike up to 2 more adjacent foes."

To:

"Each additional 45° of arc -- allows it to strike up to 2 more adjacent foes."

Actually, I just removed the comma, it was not needed at all.

Magic; Attack Spells; page 65; 2nd column; 2nd paragraph;

Consider changing the demonstrative adjective target for clarity;

From:

"... So, using <span style="color: #ff0000;">the </span>option, the first target could be within..."

To:

"... So, using <span style="color: #ff0000;">this</span> option, the first target could be within..."

Magic; Casting Spells; Ball Spells; page 65; 2nd column; 4th paragraph;

Comma placement, placeholder left in;

From:

"If the option, <Name> Cone, is used the attack will form a cone attack. "

To:

"If the option, ??? Cone is used, the attack will form a cone attack. "

Magic; Counterspells; page 66; 1st column;

Extra parenthesis, missing comma, ensure em dash;

From:

"he can always Cancel this action (p. 51) - even if he cancelled another action to cast the Counterspell) and do something else"

To:

"he can always Cancel this action (p. 51) -- (this should be an em dash) even if he cancelled another action to cast the Counterspell, and do something else"

Consider rephrasing for clarity;

"If the character does not have Hits enough to equal the Fatigue cost of the spell he wishes to counter, he can always Cancel this action (p. 51) and do something else -- even if he cancelled another action to cast the Counterspell."

Magic; Essential Salts; page 66; 2nd column; 1st paragraph;

Consider removing the "< >" placeholder with something generic;

From:

"like Earth's Blood or Tears of <insert name of deity from your setting here>"

To:

"like Earth's Blood or the Tears of a relevant deity."

Magic; Casting With Essential Salts; page 66; 2nd column; 2nd paragraph;

Consider rephrasing and reducing words;

From:

"Once accessed, using this mana is so easy that for the spell will require 1 less point of Fatigue being expended for each dram of Essential Salts being used."

To:

"Once accessed, using this mana reduces the fatigue cost of the spell. The casting will require 1 less point of Fatigue for each dram of Essential Salts used."

Rephrased entire paragraph

If the Will Save is successful, each dram of Essential Salts used will take the place of 1 point of Fatigue required by the spell. However, a caster must always expend at least one point of Fatigue when casting a spell, regardless of how many drams of Essential Salts he tries to use. The Essential Salts are consumed in this process.

Stat Generation; Secondary Stats; page 17, 2nd column; Stamina (Con + Res);

Missing word? Tense of verb; extra words;

From:

"This roll would be used for resisting certain physical magical effects, for rolls where the character is required to ??? great amounts of fortitude. This also is what is used <span style="color: #ff0000;">in determining</span> the character's Hits."

To:

"This roll would be used for resisting certain physical magical effects, for rolls where the character is required to (call on) (use) great amounts of fortitude. This also used <span style="color: #ff0000;">to determine</span> the character's Hits."

Consider adding the use of Stamina by Casters;

Replace:

"This also used to determine the character's Hits"

With:

"Stamina is used to determine a characters Hits and can be depleted when fatigue from spells has reduced a Caster's Hits to 0. Stamina is recovered at 1 point per day of rest."

That is a lot to add, and I do not feel like it belongs in the description of the stat itself, as that is not something that should be a common happening and including it there would seem to make it even more common or likely to happen. By leaving it only in the Fatigue section under Casting Spells, we are basically saying, "while this is not common, this is a way to push your abilities beyond normal"

Magic; Casting Spells; QUick, Fast & Snap Casting; page 67; 1st to 2nd columns;

Consider rephrasing for clarity;
From:

"A Fast Cast spell is always resolved first in a round, just as Counterspells are, regardless of the type of Action normally required to cast it."

Magic; Casting Spells; Inured While Casting; page 67; 2nd column;

Consider rephrasing for clarity;

From:

"A character who is Dazed may continue casting his spell without a Save, but with a -4 to the Casting roll. A character who is Stunned or Staggered will not be able to cast the spell. He will also still take Fatigue from his attempt to cast the spell."

To:

"A character who is Dazed may continue casting his spell without a Save, but with a -4 to the Casting roll. Should the Caster still manage to successfully cast the spell, he will still take the normal amount of Fatigue. A character who is Stunned or Staggered cannot cast spells."

Magic; Casting Spells; Cantrips; page 68; 1st column; 1st & 2nd paragraph;

A lonely 's';

From:

"Also, all cantrip s have a range of 20' unless the description says otherwise."

Missing word;
From:

"This cantrip causes a puff of smoke large enough to hide normal sized Human to appear at a location within 10' of the caster."

To:

"This cantrip causes a puff of smoke large enough to hide a normal sized Human to appear at a location within 10' of the caster."

Consider rephrasing to add clarity;
