Boons & Snags?

I have been thinking about removing the Boon & Snag system from the core rules for the Beta release.

Replacing them with some simple rules for doing Wounds -- for example, have it based on the amount of Fatigue delivered (such as Minor (10), Major (15), and Dire (20)) -- the number in parenthesis being the number of hits/fatigue/bruising delivered in an attack causing such wounds (yes, since AR reduces hits, it would make it harder to deliver such if they have armor). <-- this is just a VERY ROUGH draft of said idea....

Then the Boons & Snags could be introduced again later as an optional rule

Thoughts? COmments?

I think that they overlap enough that you could remove them.

Plus, we will still have Fate Points, and I can expand them a little bit to aid in this as well.

I don't think you really need to expand on fate points yet. Why not roll fate points and boon points into the same thing? Just a thought.

essentially that is what I am planning on doing, rolling Boons/snags into Fate points (hence my comment about expanding them). You know things like 1 Fate Point to add xx damage or xx damage type of thing (may trim out a few other fate point uses in the meantime.

Cool- especially for the Beta, less might be more.
