Peleahn (Peh - lay - ANN)

Peleahn is the most active, destructive and least thoughtful school of magic. The Peleahn manipulate heat, smoke, and fire to produce pyrotechnic effects. They also deal in Ethereal Fire, which requires no mundane seed, but is somewhat less dangerous than mundane fire. Peleahn foci include firepots, flint and steel, and other fire-making tools.

Essence: Heat/Action/Dryness

Stats: Willpower and Dexterity

Specialties: Fireballs, Volcanoes, Movement Enhancement

Potentially Favored Skills: Magecraft(Alchemy), Craft(Cookery), Craft(Metalcraft), Combat Skills, Athletics

Harn Magic Spell List


  • Zyrgin's Heat (I) - makes fires burn longer and leave less residue (ash, etc)
  • Sphere of Shanakar (I) - ball of etheral flame in hand, used as light, cannot be thrown, may do minor damage if used to strike foe (double damage against ethereal foes)
  • Aiden's Hastening (II) - basic Haste spell...
  • Skin of Lexesh (II) - makes caster immune to normal fires (hands only, but good rolls can extend)
  • Eyes of Niyar (III) - infravision
  • Orb of Zatara (III) - 6 inch ball of mundane fire that can be thrown, explodes on contact
  • Charachi's Fever (IV) - magical disease that causes target to become feverish and restless - starting 24 hours later, target's temp raises 1 degree per day - can/will lead to coma and then death unless dispelled
  • Sea of Fire (IV) - sets (mundane) fire  to all fuel (i.e. dry grass, pool of oil, dead tree limbs and leaves, etc) within a given radius - quantity and type of fuel may limit fire, and it will spread naturally - so watch which way the wind is blowing...
  • Bolts of Dag (V) - Hands wreathed in ethereal flame - each strike does random amount of fire damage that is pulled from a pool that the flame starts with, spell lasts until all "damage" is used (example: start with 20 points of damage, each strike does 1d5 hits of fire damage (in addition to normal damage) and spell lasts until all 20 hits of Fire damage are dealt)
  • Fiend of Hazatai (VI) - creates a fire golem from mundame fire, size/strength determined by size of fire seed used. also creates control focus to use in controlling golem, who must stay in sight. Letting go of, handing off, or dropping the control focus ends the spell
