Onwards to new and exciting adventures! Novus is a brand new role-playing game from Firehawk Games.
Firehawk Games did not set out to re-invent the fireball, it tried to make a fun and flexible game that can easily be adapted to many different styles of role-playing and many different settings. Firehawk Games wants to give you an old school experience with modern, up to date rules, and we believe that Novus fits the bill perfectly.
With Novus, everything you need to start gaming is in one small book.
- 6 Player Races - All of the classics; Human, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, Half-Elf and Half-Orc.
- 8 Backgrounds - Everything from Barbarian to Upper Class Urban.
- 10 Character Classes - We have the Archer, Fighter, Mage, Mystic & Wizard, just to name a few.
- Dozens of Spells - spread among 6 Schools of Magic and the Universal Spells that any character is able to learn.
- 40+ Monsters - including Demons, Devils, Dragons and many more, all waiting to be unleashed on your players.
- Snag & Boons - This allows you, the player, to take controls of your character's own destiny when it comes to fumbles, failures and exceptional successes.
It is available in 2 distinct versions:
- Free Version: This is a no-frills PDF. It contains just the rules. It does not contain any bookmarks, internal hyperlinks, artwork, or an index. The rules will be updated at least once a month, possibly more often, during the course of the Open Beta.
- Deluxe Version: This version costs $5. It currently contains bookmarks and internal hyperlinks. As it gets its rules updates, we will also be adding an index and artwork.

Right, just swung by to say hello and then I'm off to read the free version - which will almost certainly get upgraded as soon as the Christmas credit card bills are no longer breathing down my neck.

More than 400 people have acquired it since it was released Wednesday afternoon. And not one comment on it yet.
I even added it to the RPG.net index - http://index.rpg.net/display-entry.phtml?mainid=17511&submit=entry - but no feedback there yet either

They probably need to read through it still. Also people have a tendency to download free things, and then forget about them as they get lost on their computers. I know I download things and sometimes don't look at them for awhile.
