Hi (http:///smile.gif)Thanks!
-
When is the Convention? How much time do we have?
If nothing else, we can try to come up with something that you can run for it - afterall, this is a great promotional effort on your part, so I definitely want to support you in it in any way that I can.
-
hmmm....i wish i had more time.....MORE TIME!
-
Honestly, just pick up a D&D D20 module (3rd edition / 3.5 / Pathfinder) and do some minor prep work with it. I've ran several modules like that even without prep work (but I'm told I'm pretty good at running games on the fly).
-
This leads to an interesting question.....are there any monsters that are purely Novus property?
-
So far? Not really. My interpretation of some of them definitely belong to Novus - but so far, all of the creatures statted up for Novus are generic monsters.
-
I'll be running the game on August 20th, so a little less than a month.
I'm mostly concerned about having premade character handouts and some enemy stat blocks. I can improvise a story and some skill challenges, crib maps from another game if I need to but I don't want to have to make six detailed characters plus enemies. If you can put together a module by the con, I'd rather run that than improvise since it will feature your unique setting with details I would miss.
-
Don't forget that a monster's stats can be used, and reused just with different fluff text.
Use the Orc stats, give them a different description, and use them as is, or close to it.
A Novus module would be better, but those are my suggestions.

I think that I can whip something together for you by then, no problem.
We already have an adventure, that we were planning on turning into a Quick Start for Novus, but time constraints have slowed down progress on it. But, I should be able to put it together well enough to allow for somebody who already knows Novus to be able to run it as a module.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out on this thread as the date approaches. Let me know if you need anything from me.

Do you have a preference on what sort of pre-gen PCs you would like to see/use?
-
Thinking about the players I expect: A Martial Artist and an Archer would be nice on the team. I would avoid a Minstrel since the role-playing will be light. But I can work with whatever the adventure needs.

Rasyr,
I was wondering how this coming along? Do you plan to post it here or on DriveThruRPG?
I'm going to need it a few days early (like the 17th) because I'll be traveling.
-
Most likely, I will send it to you in a PM for you to download. I will try to get it to you before the 17th. -- Expect it to be very rough. (http:///bigsmile.gif)

Looking forward to it! Thanks!
