Fantasy Express Lite Companion
« on: April 04, 2025, 09:01:25 AM »
Just  had an idea this morning. Not sure why I never thought of it before....

We have Fantasy Express - 300  pages of RPG goodness....
We have Fantasy Express Lite - 160 page of RPG Goodness....

To get what is missing from Lite, you have to purchase FX, which means you are repurchasing everything already in the Lite book

What if, I made a FX Lite Companion - which is essentially all of rules stuff missing from FX Lite (i.e. the missing Kins, the missing Vocations, etc.....

Then instead re-purchasing what they already have to get the  missing material, they could simply get the Lite Companion to  get that material. (the pricing on  it would  have to be $6  (for  the PDF) to make sure  that  the cost between the two does not  exceed the cost of the full rules.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I think Labyrinth Lord made something similar, you have the core game, the Advanced Companion, and the Advanced Labyrinth Lord containing the core + companion.

I like it for the reasons you've mentioned, you can "upgrade" without the cost of duplicating the owned material, and for those wanting to shift to an "all in one" file, they still can.
I'm not a native English speaker, sorry for any error.

Exactly... Provide  customers with options,  and not taking advantage of them...

I am slightly upset that I did not think of this sooner.... :o

That’s very consumer-friendly. I like that.
