Below is a Table of Contents (TOC) from the core Novus rulebook. As you can see, nearly every item on the TOC is a link. Those links take you to excepts from the core rules. Some of the links take you to pages where you find links to even more pages.

In short, the entirety of the Novus rules are available through the links below. We have done this for the simple purpose that we feel that you should be able to take a good look at the rules before you decide to purchase one of the PDFs or the print version of the rules.

You can click on the image of the cover to the right, to take you directly to DriveThru RPG, where you can purchase the rules.

Announcement: As of January 7th, 2023, Novus 1e (the text of the game, not any of the artwork) is hereby released under the Creative Commons license.

Novus Novus is a brand new roleplaying game released in Jannuary of 2011 by Firehawk Games in an Open Beta format. As of April 11th, 2012, the Open Beta has ended and the final version of Novus has been released. We are selling multiple versions of the rules from our Online Store. The versions are as follows:

All 4 PDF Versions
contain the same identical content when it comes to the rules themselves..

Bare Bones Version
This version contains no artwork, no index, no bookmarks, and no internal hyperlinks at all. It is essentially a text only version. This version sells for $2. When bundled with the print version, the Bare Bones PDF is free.
Thrifty Version
This version contains artwork and an index, but it does not contain bookmarks or internal hyperlinks. This version sells for $5. When bundled with the Print Version, the price is only $2.50.
Deluxe Version
This one has it all. It has artwork, an index, bookmarks, and internal hyperlinks (the page numbers for the TOC, index, and references to other sections of the book are actual links to take you to the specified page). This version sells for $9. When bundled with the Print Version, the price is only $4.50.
DigestVersion
This one has it all. It has artwork, an index, bookmarks, and internal hyperlinks (the page numbers for the TOC, index, and references to other sections of the book are actual links to take you to the specified page). And it is specifically formatted for reading on 7" tablets! This version sells for $9.

Print Versions
Print Versions of Novus are available from the individual pages of the first three PDF versions (not available from the Digest version). The print versions are all identical and match the Thrifty/Deluxe version of the PDF in regards to the interior content. The print version of Novus sells for $24.99. Due to the way in which RPGNow/DriveThruRPG works, print versions are an option listed under the PDF version of a product, so we had to add it to each of the 3 PDF versions of Novus.
Print/PDF Bundle
In addition to being able to purchase the print version of Novus from each of the 3 PDF pages, you can also purchase the PDF bundled with the print version. For the Deluxe and Thrifty PDFs, half of the PDF's price is added to the cost of the print version when bundling them together. Bundling the Bare Bones PDF with the print version results in that PDF being free.

Below are links to quick overviews of various portions of Novus. You can use them to get more detailed information on Novus and how it works.

Table of Contents

This is the Table of Contents from Novus. The Table of Contents also contains links to the following three pages, plus links to many other pages.
